Vegan Runners Virtual Race

VR2 HeaderI’m very excited to announce the launch of the Vegan Runners Virtual Race for World Vegan Day!

A few weeks ago, back in June, I woke up thinking wouldn’t it be great to organise a race for World Vegan Day that would benefit a vegan charity. So I put the idea to my fellow Vegan Runners UK committee members and with them have worked out a fantastic event that will raise money for Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary.

For the race you need to run at least 5k but can run more. You can run anywhere in the world and can run alone or with friends. All participants will receive a medal and we have some great categories for extra prizes. All prizes have been generously donated by vegan and vegan friendly companies and include a bake at home cake kit from The Vegan Cakery, a box of vegan cheese from Bute Island, organic toiletries from Heavenly Organics and much, much more.

Prize categories range from the usual race categories of fastest 5k, fastest 10k and longest distance to more fun categories such as best fancy dress, best photo and best gpx drawing. So there is something for everyone.

I do hope you can join me virtually in this race, or even in real life as I will be organising a group run in Tring (Herts).

Keep an eye out on the Vegan Runners Virtual Race Facebook page for more information and sign up for the race!

Doughnuts and some running

This week was rather fun. I only managed two runs but I really enjoyed them, plus I got to the gym. So Monday I went to my Pilates class. I do miss it when I can’t go, even though some of the moves are really hard and I ache afterwards. This week wasn’t so bad…

End of November

End of November

I’ve not done a weekly roundup since finishing my Trailffest training. To be honest I’ve not been that regular with my runs or workouts since the start of October. I’ve still managed at least two runs a week but these have been shorter ones with the Start to Run course and my lunchtime running…
